The meant that Nightwing had to be separated from the other gods, forcing him to lead a very lonely life - until he met the goddess Flamebird and the two fell in love. Interestingly, the dichotomy of love between dark and light continues on Earth with Nightwing and Starfire in the Teen Titans. It seems that Dick may have taken on more than just the name of the Kryptonian legend. Eddie is a recent graduate of Skidmore College. Now, he is very excited to be writing for Screen Rant.
Since Superman couldn't use his powers in Kandor, he took inspiration from his old friends Batman and Robin to take up new identities in the city while investigating their latest threat. It was established that Nightwing and Flamebird are native birds to Krypton, which Superman and Jimmy Olsen used as their Batman and Robin analogue names. He was quickly approaching adulthood, and throughout his adolescence, he fought threats alongside a team of other sidekicks like himself called the Teen Titans.
Realizing he had outgrown his role as a sidekick to his mentor, Batman, Dick no longer felt Robin was the right identity for him. He then spent a considerable amount of time thinking about where he wanted to be in life and whether or not being a superhero would fit into that new life. It's not until Deathstroke makes his surprise attack on the Teen Titans that Dick starts to put more thought into his new superhero identity, which leads to a pivotal moment in The New Teen Titans In that pivotal moment in issue 44, Dick thinks about what his entire journey comprised of from childhood to adolescence.
He especially thought about the important people in his life who helped shape him into the person he had become.
Two of those people were his parents, John and Mary Grayson , who taught him his acrobatic skills. He also named Batman for taking him in as a scared little boy and taught him to become a good young man. Dick, like his mentor, is highly intelligent and a master detective. He was officially mentioned as being the second to Batman in detective ability in the second volume of the DC Comics Encyclopedia.
Dick has also been trained in escapology, criminology, stealth, disguise and his martial arts skills rival those of The Dark Knight. He is regarded as the greatest human acrobat in the DC Universe. He can also speak various languages fluently, and he once hacked alien technology using Tamaranien language.
Fortunately, The Dark Knight is always one step ahead of everyone and has a backup plan in the event of the Justice League disappearing. He builds up a team of heroes which include the Atom, Green Arrow, Hawkgirl, Etrigan, Firestorm, Faith and the former villain Major Disaster with Nightwing to lead the new Justice League until the original members are found.
At the end of the arc, the new Justice League finds and rescues the previous one. He is injected with a serum that drives him insane but also gives him a powerful healing factor. He then goes after Green Arrow, almost killing him until Catgirl defeats him.
After his superiors are murdered by the last of the Justice League, Dick returns and goes after Catgirl, beating her within an inch of her life before Bruce Wayne confronts him. Bruce briefly fights, humiliates and eventually decapitates Grayson with a hatchet before pushing him into the volcanic caverns of the Batcave.

Dark Knight Strikes Back is quite possibly the worst batman story ever written even worse than the one from the 60s, where he had a different colour batsuit for each day!!
Other than that, great article, I always like learning stuff about Dick Grayson, who is one of my all time favourite heroes. There are probably multiple reasons.
