Hello I decided to make a guide for RO2 like I have done in the past for other games, for time sake I will be copy and pasting from my old guides which is applicable.
Background, I started playing MMOs with a controller strangely after I quit playing RO1 and started playing Warhammer with joystick, first was for a sake of comfortability but later on because of job i started to develop really bad CTS. Once you ahve the basics down it can be applied to any game or program, you can even type with your controller I used xpadder latest version with a xbox controller I currently use a Logitech controller, to me best controller is the ps controller because of the chatpad easy set up not needing additional drivers and giving near unlimited hotkeys.
I will advice though to click on the little wrench next to the right analog stick go to mouse settings and adjust the movement speed of it. With this set up you can have 24 hot keys on your controller allowing you to fully utilize a lot of your skills. Some small problems in targeting in this game as a whole, that is why i have esc as the back select button to quickly un-target and re-target. Also if that was the case g, x15 keyboards high end gaming mouses would be in the same category. Posted 10 June - PM I see no problem with this, games like Dynasty warriors and Rusty Hearts can be played with a keyboard or game controller no problem. I freaking hate playing Rusty Hearts with a keyboard, i use my PS3 controller. I could experiment trying to use my PS3 controller for RO2.
Not like I need to use 20 hotkeys on my Sorc anyway when i'm normal leveling. Because gaming mouses let you bind your keyboard keys to your extra mouse buttons. My own gaming mouse, i almost never touch my keyboard other than to chat. Edited by Tetsamaru, 10 June - PM.
I have a logetic software running in the background for my gaming mouse. Have keys binded to my 1 through 0 keys and even a WASD. I have to say, this feels really nice for farming mats or just killing off regular Khara missions. Edited by Tetsamaru, 11 June - AM. Oh really!? Controls, timing, targetting. It's all rather frustrating with a gamepad compared to a mouse. More precision with a mouse.
